Free listing in Bristol Business Guide

"The Bristol Business Guide is the city council's bi-annual corporate publication which promotes both Bristol as a place to do business and also the companies in Bristol as providers of goods and services. It is intended as a major supportive effort to local companies and an effort to retain business in the city especially in a time of difficult trading conditions.

Inside this quality, glossy, A4 book there is editorial about things that are important to companies moving into the city and for their workforces too. The intention is also to foster business to business relationships in Bristol.

Included in the book is a CD ROM directory of around 7000 local companies. The Foreword is signed by Jan Ormondroyd Chief Executive of Bristol City Council and the Introduction is signed by Colin Skellett, Chair of the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership.

There will also be a website version of the book at www.bristolbusinessguide.co.uk which goes live once the book is published in June this year. It will be similar in style to the existing Bristol First construction directory the online version of which is at www.bristolfirst.co.uk .

Right now our production partners Burrows Communications are starting to phone round the companies who we have featured in the past and also others they know of but any company based in postcodes BS1 to BS16 or BS99 can ask to be included.

The service is absolutely free to the companies included and indeed comes without cost to Bristol as the advertising by major companies in the book covers all our costs.

To request a listing companies should email steve.gay@bristol.gov.uk "
